Anybody have a GPS?

I'm kinda interested in getting a GPS.

It's main purpose would be for it's velocity tracking features. Do they all tell you how fast you're moving?

What are some good, perhaps inexpensive ones, that do? Maybe that are designed for a bicycle?

I don't really know anything about them.
 
I have a Garmin GPS III+
Its been replaced by a newer model with more memory.
IMO you want one with a map built in. Improves the utility of the the device greatly. Without the map and the ability to interface with a laptop, I wouldnt pay 10 dollars for one.

Trying to find a price.. It looks pretty expensive.

The GPS part of it is cool, but really.. I'm just looking for a wireless speedometer. 🙂

Give me a compus, a map and a calculator and ill tell you how fast you are going.
Danm kids, cant find out where they are unless its handed to them by the fusking GPS crap.

Its worth to have one if ur traveling to a lot of places all the time.

Man, and they complain about using a cell phone while driving! 😛
 
I've got a Garmin Street Pilot 3 Deluxe for my car.

I actually look at the speedometer on the GPS more often than my car. But the GPS speed seems to be 1-2 mph faster than my on my dash. Don't know which one is more accurate though.
 
I have a Co-Pilot GPS and use it with my iPAQ. It's quite cool with voice directions and real-time navigation.
I can never get lost, except when there are road-changes not reflected in the maps. 😀

I do not personally own one, but a buddy of mine owns one that can be hand held. It also has a little mount on a boat it is put in, and no wires going to the motor or in the water, it tells the speed accuratly. I know it only cost him $100 at a local marine shop and is a good namebrand (Of course I can't think of that either)

Pretty neat little gadget 😉
