I was thinking about getting one, my place seems to have a lot of dust even after a good cleaning. Know any good brands? I was looking around online but the really good ones are several hundred dollars.

What size room do you want to clean and how much are you willing to spend? Like Apex said, IQAir is great but they are also expensive, and there are some other good brands that offer a good bang for the buck. I'm currently using an AllenAir and it's great. However, if you want to clean a good sized room, anything decent will run you a few hundred dollars.

Edit: This is the one I have for my bedroom right now. It's good for 250 sq ft. For $150 more you can get one that's good for up to 800 sq ft (but 400 sq ft is ideal). These are great bang for the buck air purifiers IMO.

Edit2: That model is also whisper quiet. I had it right next to my bed and on the "low" setting I couldn't even hear it at night. My room is practically dust free too.
