Anybody happens to be running a Philips Acoustic Edge sound card?

Hi,

Philips had dropped support for its line of sound cards a long time ago; The latest and obviously last driver iteration (V1.89) works flawlessly under Windows XP.

Is Windows 7 and/or Vista able to recognize the card properly without being supplied with Philips' driver?

If not, is the driver available for Windows XP sufficient to operate the card under x86 (32bit) versions of Windows 7 and/or Vista?

Thanks. 🙂

Wish I could help, but I haven't had one of those for a long time. I don't think they were ever really popular. I never see them in anybody's rigs that I fix or upgrade.

This card, along with the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz and Hercules XP sound card were very popular back in the day.

I can't answer your question but I would say you have a decent chance that it will work on windows 7 out of the box. Maybe not all the features will work, however.
