What's everybody up to tomorrow? We don't have much going on just doing the typical thing.

Burgers and brats on the grill and a cooler full of ice and beer. Other than that just hanging out with family and friends.

I did set up badminton and cornhole in the backyard so we can have some outdoor activities to enjoy together but it's going to be hot as shit so we'll see how that goes. 😁

Damn...come do my landscaping and yard maintenance, will ya? Nice yard.

As for the question...our little town of 6500 explodes over the 4th of July to as much as 50,000. People come from all over to shoot off fireworks on the beach and enjoy our much cooler weather...so we get our grocery shopping done in advance and rarely venture out.

Having my mom and younger brother over to my apartment. Will probably use the common area grills to cook up some hot dogs, veggie sausages, and corn. Nothing crazy.

We don't have anything going on really. We usually get together with friends and family but no one has mentioned anything this year. Which is fine by me considering it's going to be 110 tomorrow.

It's my partner's birthday. We're going to have an art party (people hang out and paint/draw/sew clothes, whatever they want), then go to a cemetery to watch the fireworks.

We are working tomorrow rather than Friday, so we can have a 3 day weekend.
This is the first time in 17 years we have not spent the 4th in the mountains with our dogs. I cancelled our reservations on Monday. My wife's bestie died a month ago, and she was also up there with us every year. The stars did not line up this time and it was going to be tough.

Just me, the kitties and the 55". I might go out to get some rum. Hard to say.

There are usually fireworks nearby and the neighbors always seem to have some. IDK. I prefer to hide in my hole. I'll come out when the groundhogs do. Thankfully, I have a yard full of clover so they're happy campers.

Found and interesting story about rum which I was alerted to by other sources.

A classic British Navy style rum, Pusser's Gunpowder Proof rum has rich notes of treacle, toffee, honey and vanilla throughout the palate, alongside oak, cinnamon and ginger. Taking its name from the naval tradition of providing sailors a daily ration of rum, distributed by the Purser – or Pusser. The Pusser would dispel any complaints of watering down the rum by wetting a pinch of gunpowder with the rum and attempting to light it. If the mixture ignited it was "proof" that the rum was strong enough.

Big ass wedding. 180 people. Sitting at the table with the bride's parents so about the only time in my life I'll be a VIP.

Place has great food though so I'm going to feast. I just drove 3 hours total to take my dog to an amazing dog spa and resort out in the boonies so he doesn't have to hear fireworks tomorrow in my neighborhood and freak out for 5 hours while I'm partying . That would just be not good parenting And if I didn't find this place I might have just not gone cuz no way I'm leaving my little buddy to suffer for that long. Pretty cool spot he gets a 4x6 room because he's never been boarded or in a crate since I got him. Seven five to ten minute walks a day included but I also got him a longer evening nature walk too.

Staying at the hotel with the wedding party and doing doing big family brunch on Friday morning.

I mean really though who the fuck gets married on July 4th. It's a really nice venue and they have tons of money. I can understand the grooms family is not from this part of the country so they have to travel, but why not do it Friday night why on July 4th?

How is 180 people big wedding?

Also, that might be the only date that the venue had opening.
