Anybody good at making very professional VISIO type charts?

If you can make really good looking visio flow charts, such as a 3d network diagram, let me know. The company I work for is rolling out a bunch of new services and while we can make 'functional' visio's, I think they are hardly worthy of professional presentation. We need something that can go on pamphlets. If you can do it, please let me know how I can see some previous work, and what you'd charge to make some.

Seriously? Learn how to do it man... It's not that hard. You can download 'packs' that give you little models of cisco switches etc etc etc so it's accurate.

Keep in mind you'll want to do a few... one for your 'physical' network path with server locations etc, and others with 'data flow' paths...

I can do it.. Mine are perfectly functional, but I want something that looks better than just a standard visio. I already have all the packs and did everything in 3D too. I'm really looking for more than just a visio but an overall graphic design job making a snazzy flow chart...

I could do it. I work with 3D programs so I would make something in Maya and render it out in an image format like Targa, or Photoshop .PSD something else that has an Alpha channel so you can just slap it in whatever pamphlet you need.

Not sure what I would charge but maybe we can come up with something, I've never done charts before but it shouldn't be that hard.

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2105302&highlight=missile+launcher <-- This is an example of what I can do in 3D, so I imagine a chart wouldn't be too hard at all.

If you could provide an example image of your diagram/chart it would help me gauge how difficult it would be

yeah, lets see one of yours that doesn't quite hack it as professional, and an example of wht you would consider pro work?

LOL

Seriously making a good presentation is not trivial. Even the number of fonts per page is important not to mention the issue of keeping graphics from distracting from the story.

I learned from Bucky Fuller (yes back in the day), various (some useless) presentation classes over the years, Adobe, and a couple of VPs who "got it".

Handing someone Visio & telling them to "learn it" to make professional presentations is just like handing them accounts receivable/payable & gen ledger & telling them to setup a company. After all accounting is *just* adding & subtracting, right?

I am a consultant in electromagnetics & routinely have to make hand wave presentations to people that can glaze over in a heart beat if I am not careful. Believe it or not, some people do not think it as exciting as I! Anyway ... I have incorporated some complex Visio diagrams in the past, but not sure I currently have it. Consider me a possibility if you do not get any more reasonable offers. There is nothing with Visio that I can offer as a reference tho.😵 We can talk & argue it out to see if it makes sense.
