I placed my order for ram and a few other items on Friday, Oct. 13. Here are the emails I got after a week of waiting:

Dear Roland,

I do apologize for this inconvenience but is seems that you do have a
few items that are on backordered. Unfortunately at this time we do not
have a estimated date on when this order will ship out. As soon as it does we
will send you a email confirmation letting you know the tracking
information. If you would like to cancel this order. Please inform me and I would be
happy to assist you.

Sincerely

I hope the other items have already shipped. I paid
for 2nd day air shipping so I should have received
them already yet I haven't. This order was placed on
the 13th of the month, last Friday.

I'm batting 0 for 4 orders from McGlen and 0 for 2 orders with AccessMicro. Each time they claim that item was backordered. It took 6 days for them to let me know that one order was backordered, never received backorder information for the others (only confirmed via online view of my order status).

I ordered RAM last week from McGlen and selected 2nd day air. Almost a week later, no package and no change in the order status (still showed as "processing"). I called and "Chris" informed me that the memory was backordered and they didn't know when they would get it as there was problem with the vendor. Now, if they don't have any RAM, why do they keep dropping the prices?

In my opinion, MCGLEN and ACCESSMICRO suck!

I will not do any further business with this group.

Sure. I ordered 128MB of PC133 SDRAM about two weeks ago, and it was shipped the next day. It took a couple of days to arrive via UPS, but it finally arrived.

I've been considering buying from them again.

I ordered last week and recieved my memory (2 128 PC133's) 2 days later.

Thinking about getting more - seeing that price is starting to go back up.

I ordered 1 128Mb PC133 and 1 64Mb PC133 from them 2 weeks ago and it came across the country in 5 days. Not too bad. Good packaging.

I agreed with you Bob61. Sounds like false advertising to me. Now I'm sitting here trying to reorder everything, from somewhere else.

I think if they show that its availible at the time of the order and then it's not then they should compromise and give you an upgraded version ,especially if your paying that type of shipping cost ,thats not good buisness on their part.even if it ships from some where eles thats not our problem .

If you are looking for some RAM trey Mwave.com or premier systems(you can find them through PRICEWATCH) both have the Kingmax PC150 and PC133.
I am about to put together a new computer and will probable get some stuff from Mwave.com including the PC150 128mb (Kingmax) for $112.

I ordered 128 MB RAM from McGlen last week and it traveled across country on UPS --- received it exactly one week after ordering.

I ordered on Thursday morning. Received Friday when I got home from work. They are based out of Southern California, and so am I, so it was quick. I hear the RAM is non-descript and is not manufactured by any of the major RAM makers. Hmmm... So that's why it is so cheap! =)

Got mine in three business days. From CA to TX via ground shipping. It's working just fine in my computer, as well.

I ordered about two weeks before these magically became "Hot Deals" by someones thinking. Order during non-peak times (instance... when someone goes off and thinks its a GREAT DEAL! suddenly although the price has been about the same for 3 weeks). I've ordered through both McGlen and AccessMicro in the past, both companies deliver in a reasonable amount of time. Just well.. what can you expect when probably 1000+ people rush to the site?

Got mine, it seems to be working fine.

Took about a week to get it via UPS ground.

I was at work today, I work at a bank, and this guy came in and says he wants to cancel his checkcard and credit card because their database got hacked into and someone got a hold of all the cc numbers and billing addresses. I want to know if someone can confirm this. It worries me if accessmicro's database just got stolen like that.

I called them today because their price on RAM has been dropping ($64 for 128 MB PC133 generic) and I wanted to reorder. The CS rep said the RAM was on backorder but arriving today, and it would ship later today. That's a little suspect... I'm hoping it ships Friday or Monday.

Unless you must go cheap, don't buy this ram.

its poor quality. 256 megabit chips are not compatible with older platforms.

It will run pc-133 cas 3 with a bit of bios tweaking , marginally.

I ordered a 64MB stick from them a few weeks back, they shipped within 2 days and it came in about a week (UPS ground)

Cost me $44 , then price dropped $7 in the 2 weeks since I ordered it - which sucks a bit
