I don't watch MTV, never heard of this band.

Yeah, I dont either. I especially find it insane that this band started in 1991, and MTV named them best "NEW ARTIST" in like 2004. MTV is f'in retarded

they peaked with "the art of drowning" IMO

Jade Song, Totalimmortal, The Days of the Phoenix, God Called in Sick Today - all great, iconic songs of the late '90s (okay, it came out in 2000 - whatever)

Id say their peak was Black Sails at the Sunset personally. But to each his own.

How do people not know of AFI?

I guess I must only know them because I listen to KROQ ...

"A Fire Inside" Don't tell me you never heard of AFI. They're near the popularity level of Blink 182, but they seem to have a really hardcore fanbase.

They aren't as popular as Blink 182.

Are you sure about that.

I know this isn't a hard and fast representation, but they looks pretty damn close in popularity to me.

blink182 had their heyday way before myspace was around.

Some good sounds, but too much screamo for my tastes.

I dont see how people can enjoy screamo. Maybe they are too busy slitting their wrists to pay attention to the music?

This CD is money. It's a bit short for my tastes, but I can't think of a single song on the CD that I didn't like.

And people who "lose respect" for a band because they decide to experiment with a new sound piss me off.

 this pretty much sums up how I feel.

I've noticed all screamo songs sound exactly the same. 1 - how do you understand the words, 2 - this is music? 3 - when are your vocal cords going to rupture?
