Anybody ever wash clay poker chips in the dishwasher?

The chips get dirty after a while from repeated handling... You can't ask people to wash their hands before playing with them (if ever).

By dirty, I mean oily.

You paid about 6 cents?

actually they were free because i found them when i was cleaning my house at school

Real Clay == Your going to ruin them
Modern Clay == You might ruin them, ask who you bought them from
"Clay Composite" i.e. those chips you see all over ebay == You'll be fine.
