YES!!! I loved Freespace and Freespace 2, the games seemed much more "alive" than any of the Wing Commander Series.

I enjoyed Freespace, but liked WC much more.

i even designed a couple of missions. Then i stopped cuz i thought fs3 is gonna come out and i make missions for that, but it never did.

The first itme i loeded up and did the boost...wow. I loved the sound and if you had a sub woofer you really felt it. After you first destroyed one of those big ships and thought it was over....only to see an whole fleet of them was just crazy...I loved it.

I loved Freespace1. Freespace2 was also good but crashed about once per night which annoyed me to no end. In fact, Freespace2's lack of stability was the reason I stopped buying games (sole exception being HalfLife). I would like to see a Freespace3 to continue the storyline but only if they spend some time stress testing the game after completing the eye candy portion.

Odd.. I played both and absolutely loved them. Especially Freespace 2. I never had a single bug or stability problem with either game.
