Anybody ever dealt with ASUS Customer support for a mobo exchange?

I have a A7A266 that went bad on me the other day and its about 8 months old.... On the box it says the warranty is good for 3 yrs but on the ASUS site I dont see a way to file for a RMA. Do I have to call them and if so is there any special number or just the general cs number? Also anybody dealt with them for a exchange? should I even bother or are they good?
