I expect my brother (Mike Gayner) will post his collection in here. It's pretty nice, not as big as the one posted above but better (more collectors editions, much more interesting layout).

EvilComputer92.....that collection is pure sweetness man....I love it!

I will make sure my wife sees it also!

Ganeedi.....I like your idea....I still get to keep my boxes and they will take up just a small amount of space.....I would still need to store my manuals and all the other crap that came with the boxes...all of mine are complete with all the swag and the like that came with the game....some of it is garbage, but it makes the game complete.....coupons and the like.

I am really enjoying this thread....I will have my wife read it as well....this can definitely work in my favor.

Here are a few more games

Sanitarium....great game

I would but the cat has knocked everything over/messed everything up  Maybe later if I can be bothered cleaning it, but yeah I'm quite proud of my shrine.

I keep boxes on the pretense that once I finish a game I'll sell it. Keep all my hardware boxes too.

Trouble is I'm so lazy that I never sell anything and end up having to store boxes which is really silly :)

I've got some old C-64 games + boxes I've saved from long ago. Maybe I'll post some pics of those when boxes where stronger then the keyboards they make today :D

Old school gamer (vic -20 days till present, heck maybe i should say 2600 days till present) I have all my boxes, fills 2 closets. I use the plastic tote system also so they dont get damaged. All boxes contain the original paperwork (cardboard even) and normally the reciept. Games are all kept in old fashioned floppy (ya 5 1/4, 3.5, or CD holders). Even have all my hardware boxes (2600, intelivision, colecovision, right on up till modern day.

It takes far to much room and I have actully thought about tossing it all. I have a couple collectors who have offerd to take it all off my hands. Seems the best route as they will keep um and maybe find some way to scan um and put them in some type of database.

Some cool ones:

Stonekeep (tombstone like box)
Wasteland (simple fold like a double record album, but cool art)
first 5 Ultima games, cloth maps, etc, very cool
the old SSI games alwasy had sprartan art, but it alwasy looked cool.

man now I want to fire up dos box and check out some of those old games again. I recently played Might and Magic (worlds of Xeen) from start to finish, i forgot how bad they made ypou backtrack and heal in those games.. but it was fun.

I usually keep all my boxes. Very jealous of the dude who has the original Planescape: Torment box.

EvilComputer, that is one hell of a collection man! I'd have the same if I had space for it! That's ok though.. Someday, I shall surpass your awesomeness....

I know what you mean about playing the old games....I just played thru Dungeon Keeper recently!

I also hope to one day play all of the games that I have that have not been opened yet.

So, saying I shouldn't upload a pic of my unopened P.T. Box sitting on the shelf, next to a couple unopened boxes of icewind dale I believe.

Why not rent some storage space and dump them there? Do you look at them often?

I just hate to spend money to store them....it just seems silly to me.

I think i am going to do as someone here suggested, put the cd's in a large cd binder.....break the boxes down and store them flat....I just need to figure out how to keep all the other stuff in the box so I know what goes with each game.

I may store the manuals and the extra stuff, like maps, coupons, quick reference list ect. ect. in baggies......however I dont know how much room I will really be saving.

lol love the ST box that says, "First Person Shooter".

I can't remember, but does Civ III come with the massive manual or did those stop with #2?

I keep all my games complete with boxes too. I think it's one of the reason I rarely buy games off Steam or D2D, even if they're cheaper than retail version.

Not any more. Too big and bulky. But I did keep all my maps and reference cards and shit. Amazing I still have the BG2 stuff.
