Anybody else in Vegas watching this lightning storm

I dont think I have ever seen a lightning storm like this ever.

caught this awhile back driving to Vegas. those bolts really are quite something when they strike several feet from you

Damn... Nice catch. I remember seeing some insane lightning storms when I was in Great Lakes, IL.

I wish that I knew how to gets pics of them in all thier glory. They are so bright and streaking across the sky and I still have not heard one hint of thunder yet.

there was that much lightning. I set up 2-second shutter speeds and just snapped.

1 year and 1 weekend ago (basketball tournament in LV)

for capturing lightning, set up cam on tripod and point in the direction of the sky that's lighting up. set the shutter speed for 2-4 seconds. that and a bit of luck and you'll catch'em.

The storm seems to be right in SO neighborhood. Now the rain is hitting my patio I guess it's headed my way.

When I went out to California, it was great watching the thunderstorms. You could see like 10 miles in each direction. It was great. Beautiful. My uncle lives really close to the strip in Vegas. The last time I was in vegas, I tried watching a lightning storm at night and it wasn't that great since it was so bright at night. Still entertaining, though.
