On both my iMac and MBP, the flash plugin crashes constantly. I had called and spoken with applecare about it and we deleted the cache, deleted the plug-in / reinstalled it, repaired disk permissions and it still happens.

I've googled the topic and it seems a bunch of people are having the issue but there has not been an answer on how to fix it. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue?

After it crashed I just reload safari and everything is back to normal. However, its a big pain since I usually keep the browser open with a bunch of tabs. I then have to go and log into sites again.

You're surprised by this? Jobs' whole position with regards to Flash is that it's unstable. It's in his and the company's interest to ensure this is true.

No problems here. Could just be that Flash somehow got corrupted. Try reinstalling it. You could also try another browser.

no, not really surprised. its just that I've never had a problem before. I know Jobs hates flash but right now most things are done in flash as HTML5 is just starting to gain popularity.

I've already uninstalled it, deleted the plug-ins and it still happens.

As for another browser......I like Safari and would like to stay with it. Not really a big fan of Chrome or FF.

are you running any extensions? if so, have you tried disabling them one by one to see if there's a connection? (an early release of adblock for safari 5 was crashing some pages for me. haven't gotten around to installing the latest version)

Nope, no extensions at all. It's basically the stock safari 5
