anybody else have the crash test dummy toys?

Yep, I had them. I had a bunch of them actually... I think I had one of the collapsible cars at one point.
 
I did. They were pretty cool, but I think I remember them being pretty flaky with body parts falling off.

seriously? I can imagine a board room of well-paid toy execs coming up with the back story for this new toy line:

"We need enemies!"

"Why?"

"Because every action figure needs enemies!"

"Really?"

"Of course they do! Damn it Johnson, how the hell did you get on this board? Don't you know anything about action figures?"

"Sorry, sir. Yeah, I know what you mean...but they're crash test dummies. Who would be their enemies...and what would they want to do to the dummies?"

"Damn it Johnson! The enemies want to destroy the crash test dummies. That's what enemies do! Is your head filled with shit today?"

"The dummies destroy themselves on a regular basis anyway. They just run into a wall....and blow up. What's the point of creating enemies that threaten them with destruction? Doesn't seem like a threat...."

"Johnson?"

"Yes sir?"

"You're fired!"

--and it seems that the introduction of the junkbots was the final year of the crash test dummy toys.... 😀
