I've looked for jobs in various cities and I find that manpower frequently swamps online job boards with their useless sh*t. Most of the time they advertise for positions that do not exist because manpower loves to have a huge database of available talent that they can call upon on the off chance they actually get something but they post all these jobs in every city and give false hope to a lot of people. I fell for their trap before so perhaps this is a warning to others. Just because manpower seems to have 1500 jobs in your tiny town of 200 people doesn't mean they actually have a single job they're really looking to hire anybody for :)

I'll probably be contacting a staffing service soon to get a PT job on the weekends. :(

When I was on the temp circuit long ago, my trick was to register with 4 companies and carry my phone with me.
During the good times, it was not uncommon for me to work 2 or even 3 short gigs a day, depending on what I wanted
to do.

I got sick of the hassles of paperwork and waiting for the phone to ring when things started to slow down about 3 years
ago and got a permanant position. Liked the variety tho. Didn't use manpower. Liked volt, apple one, eastridge, labor ready,
and remedy. You got to have a broad range of aptitudes and be willing to do either office or factory work to work steady.

So that's why you've been away from the boards for so long. I figured I had just scared you away with all of my pornographically tinged posts. I had better get to work. :D

manpower got me my current job, I get paid okay and the job is good. Next summer I'll probably have the same job but I'll work as an intern not as a Manpower temp employee. I can't really complain about them because I wouldn't have my current job without them.

Awwwwwwww! You sound so bitter, Skoorb. Calm down. You'll see their potentials if you're patient. Manpower worked for me.

Hahaha! Did I get you there? :Q :D I was just kidding. I haven't used Manpower, but my family members did use Manpower before. Manpower and Kelly actually did get them work. Nonetheless, I know what you mean about the agencies advertising jobs that they don't have. I know because I've seen it and do work for an agency. Misleading ads are deliberately written. I get sick to my stomach sometimes when I see companies mislead the consumers or customers deliberately.
