I usually don't get that excited till mid/end of November, but I'm so eager to put my decorations up and already have Christmas tunes in my playlist. Out of respect for remembrance day and the fallen soldiers I wont put up any decorations till after Nov 11 though. I DID put up my Christmas lights today but that's just because it's been raining so much I was only able to do it now. Typically I put them up in September when it starts to get colder.

There are 51 days left till Christmas. Crazy how fast it's coming!

Eh. Not really.

I really liked not having to deal with Christmas when I lived in Asia.

Christmas was always my favorite time of year growing up. I grew up in a Roman Catholic household. My dad still goes to church sometimes. I've tagged along to keep him company. I'm an atheist now but I don't push my views on anyone and they don't on me. We've discussed the topic and it always ends amicably, in a sort of impasse. You have your beliefs I have mine.

I still love Christmastime. And if it's to celebrate Jesus Christ well I think he was a good guy who was lynched for daring to tell certain people where they can stick their scams. His intentions seemed honorable, to tell people how he thought they should behave. He did the best he could with what little information they had back then. I don't think he was a con artist, though I do think many con artists since then use his likeness to sell their brand of scam artistry sometimes.

Christmas decorations remind me of happy times during childhood. Presents, good food with family, playing in the snow, warming up indoors wrapped in a blanket all cozy, Christmas lights on trees. It's a beautiful time of year.

Christmas used to be great. Now it's just stress. It's probably my least favorite holiday now--except for the rather extended time off.

Other than that, I dread it. It's not like I'm getting shit-tons of toys anymore.

I worked in retail for more than 4 years.

Christmas is dead to me now.

Most Christmas music can bring on an emotional state that would be illegal if it could be measured.

Don't much care for Christmas anymore. Will put the flag out on the 11th. Lights go up on or after our Thanksgiving. Usually it's warm then.

I used to deck the house out with so many lights that I think a commercial airliner could have landed on the roof. LOL Lots of people would drive by just to see it.

Christmas was more magical when your young, but I have damn near everything I could ask for and then some. What more could I want? And Christmas to me is more materialistic then about the birth.

I plan on drinking lots of rum spiked eggless eggnog this year. :D

^well, at least you have something to be thankful for this year.

...not being dead, and all that.

Being in Australia for 3 years, I forgot what a white Christmas feels like. Sigh...

One of the reasons why I loved being in Asia. I didn't have to endure one Lexus Christmas commercial.

I'm excited this year because I get to go home to Vancouver for 10 days. Most of the time I have little interest, but I am already getting excited for heading back.

it's still hitting high 60's. so no, not just yet. I don't know how people who live in areas that call 50's "cold" do Christmas. It would seem fake to me.

They are actually put up tree tents this weekend down here. I was driving in and saw at least a dozen locations with tents ready to go...I have not seen any trees yet though.
