I hate the holiday season. And it keeps getting longer every year...

Fortunately my family is taking a trip at Christmas so I won't have to spend time with them. :p

So lucky.. I'm prolly gonna have to do a good 6 hours with the wife's fam.. man I'd rather be in a dentists chair.

Just can't stand this commercialism BS holiday. Give me memorial day, labor day or veterans day any day. Put up with a few bad appliance store commercials and that's about it. No BS crap music, no people stampeding over other people to get useless junk all in the name of baby HayZues

Quite true. But the implication of his intonation was that this iteration of illumination was at that location.

Wow poetic, and all in 1 sentence. I'm impressed.

I thought I did, but the noise in the kitchen just turned out to be a mouse caught in a trap.

Ohhh man that was cold. But clever! So clever most probably never noticed it! And true. Implying that religious folks are caught in a trap. Sadly many of them are. :( Good news is the only one holding them back from freedom is themselves...or is that the bad news? I guess it depends on them.

I give that post a 10/10. Well done!

I don't really mind the commercialism so much because it's more of a personal interpretation. The only thing that has really bugged me this year was going in to Home Depot in early October & seeing Christmas stuff EVERYWHERE. Waaaaay too early

yep. saw the trees up and it just makes me ill to know the true meaning of Christmas has been forgotten. :(

$300 for a fake Christmas tree? Unreal.

Some of the newer fake trees look incredibly real too. I don't think I would spend a grand on one though. Maybe a couple hundred. I got lucky and got mine for free since my mom just gave me her old one when she got a new one.

Real trees smell incredibly nice though, I just find it's a waste to cut down a tree just to use it for a month or two.
