2k3 has the clear 'Altezza' type rear lights. I believe the 2k2 has the area around the round middle part blacked out and the 2k1 has all red rear lights.

Other than that it's just minor interior differences. I believe the console on the roof between the driver and passenger is a little different and possibly the center console design. Also, 2k3 and possibly the 2k2 has the notched auto shift gates like the newer European cars do.

I get around 19-20mpg around town. My wife gets 1-2 mpg more than me-go figure.:D

The trip computer is notoriously optimistic when reporting fuel economy.

That reminds me, I need to check the tread wear on mine tonight. I haven't even had them rotated yet. I figure it will cost me around $600 for 4 new tires. Expecting it around 20-25k miles.

I have a 2000 with black rear lights. I think it's an SE thing. I don't think any GLE's have blacked out lights.

I usually use premium, but if I'm short on cash and need a lot of gas, I'll throw in some mid grade, seems to do OK. 87 makes it knock though

My 2K2 SE has clear rear lights.

I have a 95 SE 5 speed as well as a 2k2 6 speed since the wife refuses to drive an auto unless it is an SUV or minivan. The 2k2 can be a blast to drive but watch out for torque steer. The 2k2 and 2k3, IMHO, are the years to get. They don't look as big as the 2k4 but still have the 3.5 VQ.

If you don't think that .5 liter make that big of a difference drive the 3.0 before trying the 3.5. The difference in torque, HIDs, auto up windows, homelink, and 6 speed are worth spending a few extra bucks for.

My bad. I know I've seen all of the variations of the same taillight but I wasn't sure what year each one was. They all have the same body style and the differences are very slight.
