I looked at a trip to Iceland a while back and those prices are significantly better than what I was able to find. I never actually went but I'd say it looks like a good deal to me. Don't know what it's like from USA, but flights to Iceland from NZ are very expensive.

Please elaborate why. Aren't they usually good deals?

They appear to be good deals, but they love to add on all sorts of fess when you go to actually buy them. Plus I find their advertising tactics to just be shady in general.

I don't see any fees. They mentioned tax is additional (with exact amount) and shuttle service is on your own, which are typical.

What advertising tactics?

So far you sound like who jumped on a blind wagon. Please let me know if I missed anything.

I haven't tried travelzoo, so I can't comment there. Winter weekend prices at Kayak look like the flight runs $500 to $600, so there isn't THAT much savings with this deal anyways ($650 to $700 for a single person for flight + hotel). And I'd definately want a few more days in a trip there. But I have always wanted to go to Iceland. If you go, please post photos and tips.

Iceland in winter doesn't sound the best though, average are in the mid to low 30°F range and can go colder.
