I use a product called Tendskin after I shave. It's basically aspirin and alcohol. I heard that Walmart sells a generic version. It's good for razor burn and the shaving bumps that some people get.

Have used rubbing alchol every day as an aftershave since I was in the service. Must work pretty well as I always get complements on my skin.

I think it feels pretty good also!

I have never used aftershave and I don't get infections. Do you people commonly get infections?

shouldnt be. i'd do the same again if i were in the same situation.... actually, i'd probably bring extra heavy duty thread.. knowing what i do now. then, i was kinda foolish, and didnt bring enough thread. i could have made stitches...

and that would have been significantly less painful...

oh well, it was probably better cautherized. i was hiking on that leg within 3 hours :p

Believe it or not, I have used this trick for 30+ years. I have a beard that is like thick/heavy wire, and after a shave I need both instant and long term relief to look my best. After a shave my face looks and feels like a baby's bottom. TRY IT!

No, but I like the burn after a shave. I hate my current aftershave because it doesn't sting at all.

hmm, only problem with alcohol is it ruins my skin. When you have acne, alcohol sries your skin out and makes it peel like crazy :(
