I haven't played Majora's Mask and probably never will but each Zelda title has been the best title for it's system.
As for the The Legend of Zelda or the Adventures of Link I'm going to have to go with the original. But I still absolutely love the second one.
It's too hard to compare each from different systems those. The N64 graphics and depth blow all the rest away but A Link to the Past had a great story and cool graphics, while the gameboy one was incredible for a gamboy game. (I loved throwng the boomerang and then flying with the chicken while the boomerang circled below) and the the origianl is just that, the original, and the later ones wouldn't be anything without it. Adn then Zelda II with the intro of magic and side scrolling was a really cool twist.
I remember going over to my friends house just to play Zelda. That's all we did. And it was even fun watching him play.
I wonder how many Zelda hours have been massed up just from those posting in this thread. Amazing that so many people could be consumed with an imaginary guy with pointy ears.
