I haven't played Majora's Mask and probably never will but each Zelda title has been the best title for it's system.

As for the The Legend of Zelda or the Adventures of Link I'm going to have to go with the original. But I still absolutely love the second one.

It's too hard to compare each from different systems those. The N64 graphics and depth blow all the rest away but A Link to the Past had a great story and cool graphics, while the gameboy one was incredible for a gamboy game. (I loved throwng the boomerang and then flying with the chicken while the boomerang circled below) and the the origianl is just that, the original, and the later ones wouldn't be anything without it. Adn then Zelda II with the intro of magic and side scrolling was a really cool twist.

I remember going over to my friends house just to play Zelda. That's all we did. And it was even fun watching him play.

I wonder how many Zelda hours have been massed up just from those posting in this thread. Amazing that so many people could be consumed with an imaginary guy with pointy ears.

I finally picked up Ocarina of Time the other day. That game rocks! I'm about 6 hours into it; I haven't played this much of a console game for a long time.

AaronP-

"Zelda II was a superb game and anyone who doesn't like it must just be a poor gamer."

ROTFLMAO

Is that a joke? I am a poor gamer because I call a poor game a poor game? Sorry if you don't like it. You can check my post history, I have been stating for years that OoT is the best game ever made, and have on a regular basis deemed Miyamoto to be the single most important person in gaming, ever.

To try and state that because I dislike what was by far the worst Zelda game brought to any Nintendo console I'm a poor gamer is absurd. FF7 and FF8 both blew chunks and hard, doesn't mean in any way that I think any less of the first six(have yet to play IX).

BTW- Why not post some screenshots of the original game, the second quest, with Zelda in her green dress and show how good you are;)

Bober-

How far are you?

I didn't like Zelda 2 either. :) I hated the whole side scrolling thing. It just became another side scrolling action game at that point.

In OoT, I'm going into the cave in Death Mountain after blowing up the stone that was blocking the entrance.

Edit: And I didn't like FF7 either, but I did finish it. It was a poor excuse for a game after having played the first few for NES/SNES. We seem to have similar tastest.

Bober, OoT just keeps getting better from where you are. It's a great game, easily one of my top 5 favorites. Majora's Mask is good, but it's more of a sidequest (albeit a very long one) than a full Zelda adventure. If you're finished with OoT and are hungry for more like I was than get it.

I think the 1st zelda was the worst, simply because it is so repetitive in that you have to bomb just about everything and push everything. If there were any visual clues to which rock/bush are destructable and which rocks are pushable, then I'm sorry and I'll retract my comments, but having to bomb just about every d@mn place to find a hole in the wall is not my idea of fun.
I finished it, but that was only because I was a poor little boy with nothing else to play.

TOOT is very fun. I played them all except Majora and the gameboy ones.

And I'm waiting for used Zelda Majora mask and expansion pack, since I'm definitely not paying $60 + $30 for that stupid 4 mb of ram to play it.
