Question any z490 owners with the intel 2.5 lan chip?

Im trying to figure out if my aorus ultra has a doa lan chip or if its just not working because its so new. Is anyone running a new z490 board with the intel 2.5g lan without issue?

Did you install the drivers? Supposedly, 1st/2nd-gen Intel I225 (2.5GbE-T) LAN NIC chips have ... bugs.

Edit: The reason that I ask this is, Win10's default out-of-the-box installer(s), probably don't have drivers included yet for the Intel I225V, and if you need the internet (network) to download new drivers... well...

Because "not working" is a little too little...

What do you see in system events?

I'd start with checking if it works in 1GbE mode.
If not => could be a hardware issue.
If yes => more likely bad drivers.

What are you connecting to? Is it 2.5GbE compliant?

If you need a new motherboard with onboard 2.5Gbps NIC, avoid Intel chip for now.

Question - Anyone moving from AM4 platform to Z490 (Intel)? For the 2.5Gbit LAN?

I know I'm tempted. Even the $200 ASRock Extreme-whatever budget board has 2.5Gbit LAN onboard. Most Z490 boards do. Whereas, what about the X570 boards? Still very few. I don't know about B550 boards, maybe the mobo makers will have a change of heart, and add 2.5Gbit LAN to most of those...
