And yeah, you can do all kinds of sneaky crap and it's A-OK. That's why I like playing engineer....offers the largest variety of ways to ruin someone's day. 😀
Hehe. Amen. I'm still learning the fine art of the engineer in BF1942, but it's always been my preferred class going back to the TFC days. The only thing I don't like about the engineer in BF1942 is that your weapons are virtually worthless in a gun battle. Naturally I try to avoid those situations, but it still can be frustrating sometimes. Comes with the class though.
Actually, the rifle is pretty spiffy since it always has the same level of accuracy whether you're running, jumping, prone, whatever. I'll usually take one shot with that as someone is running toward me and then whip out the pistol. You can also toss an expack as you're running backwards away from them and they'll run right at it most of the time. Really pisses people off when you kill them that way.
😉
The other thing I've been fiddling with lately is artillery. I found that you can hit everything on most maps from the artillery unit's spawn point. Very handy on maps like Battle of the Bulge where you can sit back out of harm's way and shell the crap out of any control points held by the enemy without them knowing where it's coming from. You can even hit the axis base from the allied base.
