Any XP MCE differences?

Is there a performance difference with MCE and the other XPs? Specifically with games. I was thinking about picking it up for my new build since it comes with a free upgrade for vista and I thought the mce features would be useful. I'm told its the same as XP Pro but just with the MCE programs installed.
 
no, if anything, its slower as it requires more resources to run the gui for it. its pro, with an extra gui for media.
 
Not exactly, there is the MCE application as well as services (that handle background recording, guide updates, etc.).

If you close the MCE application and stop the services however performance should be identical.
