http://404gaming.com is developing a hip-hop MMO. there is like 1.5 screenshots so far, and their site says "beta sign up SOON". a trailer should be released soon too.
doubt you'll see any knights or wizardry.

Correct. When it wasn't mentioned in the first five posts, it became apparent that nothing but nonsense was being spouted.

Fallout and the sequel like Quix said are your best bets. There's also DeuxEx and the sequel, fps/rpg blend.

On the mmo side, other than Starwars Galaxies you've got Anarchy Online, but there's nanotechnology there which bears a startling resemblance to magic...

Tabula Rasa is a scifi based mmo coming out within a year or so, headed by Richard Garriott.
 if you can't be bothered reading more than the first 5 posts (short ones at that) then you have no business replying at all.

I prefer to contend that if I can't get the meat of a thread in five posts, then everyone else needs to work on being more concise. This allows me to be far more lazy, and thus I am all for it.

Or maybe nobody in the first 5 posts has played Deus Ex? It's quite possible. I've never played it myself.

Star Wars has the Force, which is apparently a new-agey majicky thing which will lead to Satan worship and sacrificing goats, virgins, and virgin goats (Not necessarily in that order) according to a lot of churches.

The strict Catholic school I went to not only showed the star wars movies in some movie appreciation class, but we had to read the Hobbit in English class.

Catholics actually deal with stuff like that better than Southern Baptists, Nazarenes, et cetera.

Interesting. I guess I haven't paid enough attention to the Christian-lite sects...:p

Catholics that I have dealt with are usually fine with alcohol, smoking, dancing, stuff like that. The derivatives tend to freak out over those things though, some to the point of coming up with manuals dictacting stuff that they must figure God left out of the Bible due to lack of space, like thou shalt not drink, thou shalt not dance, thou shalt not go to movies, thou shalt not let thy women wear pants but rather only hideous floor length denim skirts, et cetera. Some are worse than others.

I imagine non-Catholic Christians as singing and dancing in churches, interpretting seizures as "speaking in tongues," and passing around snakes during the ceremony. ;)

According to my boss, repeating a monosyllable over and over classifies as "speaking in tongues." I went to their church once, and they had a speaker that was trying to "slay me in the Spirit" like Benny Hinn does. He tried to push me over and I wouldn't fall down. He told me to stand up on toes and stick out my chest and throw my arms back and I am thinking, "Why, so I couldn't possibly be any MORE off balance?"

He finally managed to push me over, though to my surprise  I did not pass out like my boss and his family who were all laying on the floor in a supposed state of unconciousness. My boss said he didn't remember that happenening because he was out cold. Several months later I brought up the incident again, and he said he remembered seeing it happen.

Maybe if you would quit going to "cultist" churches you might learn something. Obviously you are very messed up in your ideaology.

Next you will start complaining that "church" is bad because the snake actually bit you when you held it.

I did quit going. I have seen enough insanity to last me a life time.

Sadly, most of the churches engaging in these practices were not cultish, but rather considered to be mainstream. The church my boss attends definitely doesn't fall into the mainstream category, though.

Not surprisingly his church, like many others, reinterprets the Bible to suit their preconceived notions or whatever happens to be faddish at the time.

You went to a "cult". So quit bashing Christians. Major...Major...Major difference.
