• no word,
 • no released date
 • no specs
 • no acknowledgement there actually is a G800
 • no time table or roadmap released
Rumors are all there are, not much faith in them myself

Yes, some rumored to be Leaked spec's were floating around,
they have been around for some time in 2 versions...

rumored G800 Specs
 • Core clock: 200 Mhz
 • Memory clock: 200 Mhz / 400 Mhz DDR
 • Render pipelines count: 3
 • Texturing units count: 3
 • Fillrate: 600 Mpixels/sec, 1800 Mtexels/sec
 • Processing speed: 20-30 million triangles/sec
 • Memory bandwidth: 6.4 Gbytes/sec
 • Scalable architecture (Dual)
 • DirectX 8.0

they have been rumored to be using FCDDRAM, and the speed of that ram
ranges from 200 to 250Mhz (400-500Mhz effective)...
But who knows what they have, Matrox has yet to even coment on the
card, except, that it'll be "atleast Two Times faster than the G450" which
at the time was yet to be released...

I've heard it will be announced/introduced at COMDEX in mid-November.

You won't hear nothing about it till november at the comdex show. That should be around november and i think they will be showing it off performance wise too, but i don't expect to blow anything out as the drivers will probably be beta at introduction. In the GF2U preview anand put up the conclusion he wrote left

<< we can't recommend spending $500 on a card that will most likely be outperformed by a sub $300 card in a couple of months >>

. To add on after what carmack said about them eliminating the bandwidth problem, way back around 8 months ago i can only imagine what the card is capable of doing on its release date.

Yucky Quote "Carmack said some time ago that the Matrox G800 had solved all bandwidth problems..."

I visit the Murc Forums often and point in the right direction for a quote like that would be great!!
