Any word on a replacement for the Dell U3014

I currently have a u3007 and u3011 and while they are great I swear they consume more power than anything else I own. I was thinking about replacing them but it seems silly to buy a 2 year old model to replace them.

Newegg has the dell u3415 curved panel for $649 including a $50 MIR so they must be getting ready to replace the current models. I really want a 34" curved display but I don't want the price to involve any MIR's which can be denied.

I think the u3415 is a step down from the u3014. I'd get curved if I could get a 21:9 50 inch model.

The 3014 is a 30" panel and the u3015 is a 21:9 3440x1440 34" wide angle ips panel and from what I've read the panel is made by lg. I don't want to give up vertical real estate for width like so many of the current models force you to do. My current 2709w has 14 7/16" of panel height and I really want to maintain or grow that space with an upgrade. The u3015 has 13.18" of height and would be almost 1.5" shorter and I wrestle with that thought as I sift through available curved monitors. A 1080p wide panel is just not on my radar as I see it as useless.

Yep - if I could get a 50" 21"9 screen I wouldn't be sacrificing surface area or usefulness but a 34" 21:9 screen is too short and if I used 2 of them I'd also need a bigger desk. That's why I'm hoping to find rumors on a u3016.

I wouldn't mind a 34" wide if it were say 16-20" tall. Samsung has a 32" panel that has the right dimensions but it isn't curved. I wish they'd curve it for folks like me.

I'd be really surprised if Dell refreshes the U3014 with a new 16:10 2560x1600 model. I imagine it is incredibly hard to sell a $1k+ monitor these days that isn't 4K.

If anything, they will refresh the UP3214Q with a new model.

If only Samsung would take the S32D850T and curve the panel keeping the same resolution I'd be on board.

I did the math. To get the same surface area, I'd need about a 46" 21:9 screen to get generally the same surface area as my 2 30" screens - about a 50" to get the same width.

I still haven't made a move. I was hoping for something at CES but I didn't find much in the press about new monitors shown at CES in the 30 plus size

I am looking forward to this too actually. I have 3 u3011s and would like to replace them with the newest version of the u301? -- I would get three up3216q but they are just too wide for the desk. Any news would be wonderful.

I hope the newest version has seamless view!! Bringing in the bezels would be wonderful.

I haven't found anything that fits this category. I'm looking for something 16x10 - I don't care about 4K but I'd like 30" or bigger and 144hz. The Dell UP3216q is only 60hz

My current hope is to see if the M320QAN01.2 that is scheduled for June has a good refresh rate
