i plan to buy 2 lower capacity drives and run them in RAID0 once i buy them, but im curious to know when something like this might be coming out considering that intel only just launched their G2 SSDs a couple months ago. in sequential transfers SSDs are already at the limit of the SATA3GB/s spec, and since i plan on running 2 in RAID0 i need a controller that wont explode in doing it, as well as a drive that can transfer at that speed. now, the controllers are here, i just dont have one yet (easy enough to fix), but the drives are as of now unknown as far as release dates and what not are concerned. i would probably be buying 2 120~GB SSDs so the high transistor density process tech is gonna be a must so i dont end up spending over a grand on both lol

the colossus should be... impressively faster (internal raid0 of 2 or 4 indilinx controllers). And might spur intel (there is evidence that they might be capping the speed on their drives for product differentiation).
