Any websphere scripting Gurus in the house?

having a problem where one of my jython scripts works great on WAS 7 but fails on was 6.1 with an error,

WASX7017E: Exception received while running file "test.py"; exception information: com.ibm.ws.scripting.ScriptingException: WASX7025E: Error found in String ""; cannot create ObjectName.

Maybe WAS 6.1 uses a different version of Jython?

I think there are some parts that are different, yes, but I can't tell why its not working properly...
