no internet tool i know of (i didnt even know about the intel one ;) )

your brain is a fairly nice tool
you could also list some features you want here and someone would probably list some boards that have them

OK, so, hypothetical issue here. Say there WAS an online motherboard database, what would you like to be able to search on?

Processor
Processor Package (i.e. Slot 1/Socket 370/etc.)
Multiprocessor?
Chipset
Form Factor
Memory Type
# of memory slots
Max memory
Manufacturer
LAN
ATA level (66/100/133/SATA)
IDE RAID
Audio
Audio provider (i.e. chip)
Graphics
USB level (1/2)
FireWire
ATX12V connector
# of 3 pin fan headers
# of PCI slots (could break down to PCI/33 and PCI/66)
AGP Slot
AGP level (2/4/8)
Advanced CPU functions (on-die temp monitoring, high temp shutdown/throttling)
Onboard SCSI

And the ever-popular "miscellaneous" which would probably be data stored in a structure in the database

So, If some were to build such a database, is this the sort of info you would like to see? What stuff have I missed here? I would really like some input here..

Thanks

Pete

I'm working on it right now.

Beta in a couple of days, though I'm not going to enter the data for all the mobo's, I'll let you guys do that :)
