Any web hosting services provide Shell access?

Let me rephrase: Any services that provide shell access for around $10/month?
Idologic? Source.

Excellent suggestion and one of my favorite web hosts but there are two problems:

1) AFAIK they don't offer $10/mo accounts, $15 is the cheapest I'm aware of.
2) GTaudiophile is looking for considerable resources which Idologic could provide but not at $10/mo.

Agree on the resources. Completely right about YGWYPF.

As far as the $10.00 per month package, Idologic was running a special in November that still shows on the splash page. Not certain if it is still in effect, or not.

Shell means little to me. I suggested a friend look into DeviosTrap's Thanksgiving deal, and while he thought it good, he mentioned the lack of Shell access. Thus prompting this thread.

most places won't allow full access shell, but like DeviousTrap they'll offer jailshell.

Ok I didn't realize it was for your friend.

They should take a look at the WHT offers forum

I referred someone to 24hostingnow.com a few weeks ago and they're pretty happy with the service. What they're not happy about is the newest special which is pretty appealing 1GB/50GB for $60/yr and it's a resellers account. But no personalized name servers :(

I don't see any references to shell access in that second link...

I'm not sure if they offer SSH access or not.

Their online support is ON right now, you could chat and ask them.

Just tried their live chat support.

Yes SSH is offered and there are no fees or requirements to get access.

Shell isn't listed since its not a popular feature, and not a commonly requested feature; however, it is enabled on accounts by request.
