I can't really do situps easily because it hurts my as the bone sticks into the floor and it just ends up being very painful (damned spines/tailbone), so is there any way to work stomach muscles (without using equipment, ie: just at home with nothing special) without lying down n your back and hurting your ass/tailbone?

Yes get an exercise ball (Swiss Ball) and you can do many ab exercises on that. For lower abs you can hang on to a bar with your hands and do leg raises. You can also do leg raises laying down, just put your hands under your ass so your tailbone doesnt feel the weight. You must really be hurting a lot though if you can't manage some regular abs/crunches with a pillow or something tucked under there.

If you have someone to hold your legs you can do them off the side of a bed. Other than that it sounds like you need to gain weight, bony @ss! ;)
