I bought some items on FS/T thinking they were being sold as working parts. I get them and they are not, so I pm the seller and he said the items were listed as is. So I go back to the thread and it does say the items are "as is", but it has been edited at least once. At this point I'm wondering if I somehow just missed the "AS IS" part the first time around, or if after I agreed to buy the parts he changed it to "AS IS" on the post. If this is possible, would a mod please msg me so we can try and figure this out? I definitely don't want to falsely accuse anyone of being a troll.

Do what everybody else does. When you see something you want, (in IE) click File - Save As, then save the thread to your HDD. But, if they were sold "as is" and the thread doesn't say "as is" you have a legitmate complaint. In your case, unless someone else see this who saved the thread, you may be out of luck. :(

I have preached....for a longgggg time, to always copy and paste exactly what you are buying or trading for and Quote that in your reply when you say YHPM or YHM. That way it is on the record and your post cannot be edited. It has happened to me several times where folks took off the "CAS2" or other details from their post once I purchased it. I learned my lesson.

As far as your question, I am almost positive that the Mods will NOT be able to know what the post said before it was edited. :(

Im not so sure of that. I belong to a non-public (private) fusetalk board thats upgraded to FT 3.0 and the admin does have the ability to see each and every edit that was made. I know this because one user edited their post like 25 times, and he showed me the log and it was really funny to see this user edit the post (ever so slightly) so many times. Im not sure if its a custom coding job that allowed this or if its standard in fusetalk. Even if its standard in FT, whether AT has it or not would depend on it they have the same version as the private forum I belong to.

Mods, could you please tell us if you have this capability on AT?

I remember PM'img the Mod's a few times and they always mentioned that they did not have a record of all the edits. But, maybe they have a newer version now and it is possible??

I'd like to get a conclusive answer to this as well.

Bump for a response.

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to currently do this.
