Any way to use MJPEG files with Windows Media ENCODER ??? !!!

I have a bunch of video files I captured with a Matrox Marvel G200
using the hardware MJPEG (Zoran) encoder built into the card.

I'd like to convert some of these files into Windows .wmv format
to play on my iPaq. HOWEVER when I try to run Windows Media encoder,
it stops telling me that these MJPEG files have the wrong format.
It happily encodes mpg files, but seems to choke on any MJPEG (.avi)
file.

Is there any solution???
