Its pissing me off, the my computer is now connected to the internet thing is going ballistic.

To turn off balloon tips in applications that support XP Themes:

1. Start Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
3. Create a DWORD value of EnableBalloonTips
4. Give it a value of 0

Didnt work, my wireless icon still pops up a baloon saying its now connected.

at the command line type "net stop WZCSVC" and hit enter

Registry editing is fairly simple stuff. Just dont mess up.

With the amount of stupid posts on this board, I don't trust many here to manually edit the registry. So it's just asking for trouble by recommending to do it.

Sweet! After adding that registry key, IBM Access Connections doesn't harass me while it's changing connection profiles anymore :)
