Any way to turn off the bubble pop ups in the bottom right taskbar?

To turn off balloon tips in applications that support XP Themes:

1. Start Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
3. Create a DWORD value of EnableBalloonTips
4. Give it a value of 0

stop the Wireless Zero Configuration service thingy

at the command line type "net stop WZCSVC" and hit enter

Or TweakUI will do it if you're not comfortable editing the registry.

Registry editing is fairly simple stuff. Just dont mess up.

With the amount of stupid posts on this board, I don't trust many here to manually edit the registry. So it's just asking for trouble by recommending to do it.

Sweet! After adding that registry key, IBM Access Connections doesn't harass me while it's changing connection profiles anymore 🙂
