So long story short I forgot my dr marten sandals at my parents place the last time I visited them. My idiot brother there wore them while playing volleyball and over stretched them. My $80 sandals! Now they're all loose and my feet slides all over inside them. Everytime I wear them now I want to karate chop him in the throat.

Some people suggested soaking them and letting them air dry. I've gotten them wet a few times but that didn't help much. Do I actually need to soak them for a few hours? Any other ideas?

My Rainbows will sometimes shrink when they get wet and then sit in the sun for a long time. I don't know dude, good luck.

look up info on birkenstocks, thats exactly how you shrink them. i would suggest wearing them while they dry tho, they will form to your feet and be the most comfy sandals you own. if you just put them out in the sun they may shrink up too much, as well as unevenly, making them uncomfy.

Do you wear these sandals for everyday use or only for the beach?

If you wear them for everyday as casual wear..... sorry but you have surrendered your man card long ago VV, explanation

The fat dude with four chins and a red neck accent didn't really have enough merit to give me fashion tips.

let me ask you this, can you shrink a cow?
Yes. Just stop feeding them.

Are they not tight enough even when you take the buckles up all the way? If that's the case I would recommend punching another hole in the strap past the last one with something sharp (maybe an icepick or leather punch if you have access to one) so that you can buckle them tighter. If the slippage you're talking about is more toward the front of your shoe, tightening the buckles more will help, but you might also consider gluing an insole to the bottom of the shoe to take up some of the extra space. Getting them wet and drying them out quickly will also help, but that'll be temporary and your foot will probably be slipping again at the end of the next day of wear.
