Any way to remove the eject button and DVD tray cover from my 360?

Question, I have an Xbox 360 pro model that has the silver DVD tray cover and eject button. Yesterday I picked up a new Arcade model that's got the plain white on both of these. If there any way to swap the silver furniture to the new Jasper Arcade model?

Thanks!

Yeah, it is a bit kwazy. That's warranty-voiding modding? If it's as simple as "snap off snap on" or "screw off screw on" I wouldn't worry.

you have to void the warranty because you have to open the xbox360 to change it.

it is as simple as snapping parts and stuff, however you won't get the eject button off unless you open the 360.

the actual tray part you can do when the tray is ejected i believe.

actually, i think you can, very carefully, get the eject button off without voiding the warranty.

i opened my old 360, but it has been a while. it might be possible though.

the dvd face plate is easy to replace. its like any other dvd plate. power on the 360 eject tray then pull the plug. it'll leave the tray open for you to pop it off. the eject button though requires you to break the seal.

Why not just stick the hard drive from the pro on the arcade? They're the same thing at this point, aren't they?

Zephyr vs. Jasper

Isn't that preferable anyway? Wouldn't you rather have your main box be the newer one? Maybe I'm just missing what you're trying to do.

The new box is the Jasper and it's got the white tray and button (Arcade model), I like the silver hardware off my "older" 360 which is a Zephyr.

this seems like the most logical answer.

My bad, I completely fouled up what you were asking. 😛

You want to use the arcade instead of the old pro, but with the faceplace from the old pro. Got it. 🙂

Exactly 😛

No problems, I'm going to give this venture up, I've no desire whatsoever to void the warranty on a console I bought simply because it had a full warranty 😛
