Any way to read pdfs fullscreen on Android?

It doesn't matter what device or reader I use. Galaxy SIII, or Nexus 7.... Aldiko, Kindle or Adobe Reader... Pdfs NEVER show full-screen. The page is always shown in the middle with black bars top/bottom or left/right in landscape.

Is there any way to have pages take up all the screen area? Its so annoying to not be able to do so! It would make a huge difference between pdfs which are too small to read, and "just big enough" to read.

I have a Galaxy S4 and Adobe Reader works perfectly for the few PDFs I've tried. Aldiko and Kindle have bars but Reader is completely full screen in portrait and landscape. I have to set it to Continuous page view instead of Single Page, which acts just like the other readers.
