Any way to open tray programs...

I had several programs in my task tray, and then explorer.exe crashed :|

So now they're no longer there. Is there any way I can open them back up again? :Q I see them in the Task Manager (under System Processes) but I can't switch to them. Any ideas?
 
Not really, because then they won't be there. Basically I had an FTP session running in the tray, and I need to know if it finished...and I can't just check the filenames, because it was like 500 different files. 😱
 
Telling us which specific programs (executables) would help us to help you.

If they're programs you normally open up, my suggestion is to end the process and start -> run them.

Just leave your computer up all night to make sure the files are finished then. If they aren't there, grab the rest tomorrow.

Thank you yakko, that's a fabulous idea. And martyr...thank you, but I've already thought of that. I was sort of looking for a more immediate solution. 😛
