Any way to moderate volume in winamp?

i like to listen to winamp before i go to sleep (or whenver im listening to it) but sometimes its anooying when some songs are loud and other soft. any way to get it to auto adjust to one volume (without me having to get up) :)?

I have a PC remote. That works. Its still annoying though. I'd like to know how to do this too. I don't really feel like reencoding all my songs to the same volume level.

EDIT: Unless there is a program that will automatically do a whole directory.

I use MP3Gain, it will normalise your MP3's without your having to re-encode them all. Does a great job and it doesn't decrease the quality of the MP3s.

EDIT: Yes, it will take care of an entire directory. Just be sure to read through all of the help file, I had to change a couple of settings for stability's sake, but once I changed the settings it works perfectly.

Cool. I'm analyzing all my songs right now so I can figure out how loud I want them all to be. Its taking a while. :)

There's also a couple of winamp plugins that do this.

here's an example.

I don't use WinAmp tho'... might check out that other proggy :)
