any way to lower overall noise with a lian-li pc-68?

I've got a Lian-Li PC-68, and I need some way to reduce my overall noise levels. My PSU is an Enermax EG365P-VE (FCA). I've got the fans turned as low as they'll go on the PSU as well as on the front case fans. The main audible sound is from the PSU, but I've heard that this is one of the quietest. The CPU fan is inaudible under the PSU sound, so I dont think it's that much of a problem. Will a different, more insulated case make much of a difference here? Any help is appreciated.

i've got a lianli pc 67 and i find it to be a bit on the loud side too. i'm not sure that you can do much to quiet it tho.

Eliminating noise is best done at the source. If the fans are not running quietly enough in the PSU, consider replacing them, or the whole PSU. Antec TruePower units are quiet (although they run rather warm as a result) and might be an improvement (I've never worked with the FCA variants from Enermax). Or you could replace the fans in the Enermax unit. The 80mm one is a snap, use one of these. The 92mm one... oh cool, Plycon got a similar 92mm fan: 92mm.

Interesting that your hard drive isn't louder than the PSU at minimum speed...

I have the same PSU, and it wasn't very quiet. I replaced the 80mm with the Papst that mechBgon suggests and just eliminated the 92mm. I really don't think it helps with cooling, and just adds to the noise. Alternatively, you might want to use one of these. I have two and they work great.
