Any way to install an AC until without venting it?

I have a loft that gets very toasty in the summer and I want to figure out ways to cool it down.

I am thinking of installing a ceiling vent and attaching it to an existing vent in the roof. Can I also install an AC unit? Other ideas?

You could just sit the A/C in the room if you devised a way to put the exhaust in a space other than the one you're trying to cool.

IIRC, they have models that have tubes(think dryer), and fixtures to mount the tube in a window so it exhausts outside. You could probably hook it up to any sort of vent system with some ingenuity and duct tape.

I have a vent in the roof from a nearby bathroom. I am thinking of trying to tap into it to vent the hot air in the loft. Could I also possible vent an AC unit through it?

What am I venting with an AC unit? Is it the hot air or something else?

AC is a heat exchanger, nothing more, nothing less

as one side gets cold, the other side gets hotter than ambient, and needs to be cooled to keep working.. hence vent to outside
