Is there any program which can hide an icon which is displayed in the System Tray in Windows? I want to have a program running invisibly in the background here, but I do not want its icon to be visible in the system tray.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Some programs have a switch (ie.- /hidden) that you can add to the end of the executable in the Run key for the program in question in the registry. There are other ways to do it also. Have you read the help file for the program to see if it tells you something like this?

I only know of hiding icons on the desktop. try "Cool Desktop" by Cool Bananas Software, you can even hide all icons on your desktop. If not Tweak UI may be able to do it. :)

well, i figured it out by seeing that the program itself does have an option to hide its icon from the SYSTEM TRAY. But happy to see you guys still responding. Appreciate all the info on this topic.
