I just bought a 2nd HDD and installed it. It doesn't show up in Win Exp, and I have to format it. Is there anyway to do this from Windows? It shows up as a recognized hardware device.

Thanks.

* Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop and select Manage.
* Click on Disk Management in the left panel of the Computer Management window under Storage.
* Right-click on the Unallocated (or Unformatted) space on the new hard drive in the right panel.
* Click on New Partition if one does not already exist, then right-click on the new/unformatted partition and select Format.
* Format the partition using NTFS and you should be able to use the drive normally in Windows Explorer and other applications when the format is finished.
