I was hoping to use my camera to view .avi movies (Canon SD300). Whenever I make a video using the camera, the .avi created is accompanied with a .thm file. Is there any way to create a .thm file so that I can view any type of .avi in my camera?
For an 82MB .avi, the .THM file was about 7kb. I've done a search and it seems like it's some form of a jpg or picture file, coupled with an exif(?) file to contain information on the camera make, photo time, etc
rename blah.thm to blah.tar and extract the files. you can then just edit whatever files you want to modify (jpg, gif, mid, mp3) or just edit the XML directly (with say, notepad). when you're done, just tar the sucker back up, call it bleh.thm and put it on your phone.
Aye, try winRAR. Also, it might be the preview image used by the camera's browse feature for video clips? Other possibility is some sort of sync file used to sync the beginning of the videoclip or something.
