Any way to check radeon 9700p temps?

i don't think there are any temp sensors on the 9700p, but i think you can buy one separately and rig it up to the GPU heatsink and use an temp monitoring app/external bay lcd thingy to check the 9700p's temps.
 
I just monitor my chipset temps and my ps fan speed. Gives me a pretty good idea of whats going on.
