any way of UNinstalling DirectX 8.0?

it's making my mp3's pop and click when i'm playing at louder volumes.

i'm using sblive!

Go to www.tweakfiles.com. There is a DirectX uninstall program listed there. Have read on other web sites that it works OK.

I didn't think you could unistall DirectX? But I could be wrong (I have been before).

If you have a CD-R, then I would back up all important files and reformat (IF YOU DECIDE NECESSARY).

However, if you are going to reformat, then I see no harm in trying the above utility.

Yes , you can uninstall it . I used directXbuster, it worked. Can't remember the url though, sorry about that.

I know that I sound naive saying that you can't unistall it, because you can do almost anything on a computer. I thought I read that you could not, but I am incorrect. Sorry.

anyone find a direct x uninstaller for windows 2k? the one I see on tweak files wont work with windows 2k or me!
