Anyone upgrade from XP to Vista and are able to install/use your motherboard fan/temperature/monitoring apps?

None of these applications can properly monitor temperatures in 64bit vista as far as I have found (including coretemp) :(

Haven't tried Everest.

Most/all of these apps read hardware registers via i/o ports, so as long as the virtualization hasn't changed I would think they would still work. From the above post sounds like something in that layer is different on the 64-bit versions.

Speedfan is fine on Vista 64 if you disable driver signing each session or. Alfredo did buy a certificate, and his latest Beta is already signed.

Does Speedfan require that Vista already has a driver for the SMBios / SMBus? There is some question as to whether the XP driver for my Intel board SMBios will work in Vista.

CoreTemp, cpuZ 1.38 and the modded MBM all working here. I have Everest but haven't bothered to reinstall it.
