I knew this guy that was a level 5 vegan - he wouldn't eat anything that cast a shadow </simpsons>

Is it true that Vegans are eating our rain forests?

I think it's amazing that only 1 out of ~10 people posting in this thread could spell the word "buddhist" correctly.

Hey - I agree.

We should let the animals all live peacefully in the wild. Were no harm will ever come to them. ;)

Casio, if a vegan diet was healthier, you wouldn't need supplements. If you don't take supplements, you aren't doing your body and brain any favors. If it isn't for the animals or the ecological footprint, you are delusional.

That's a pretty ridiculous standpoint (the sarcasm), because the millions of meat animals wouldn't exist at all if we didn't breed them. Reminds me of the guy who said on this forum that cows and chickens would overpopulate if we didn't eat them... Or the person who said that we'd have to eat too many plants, which would use too much land.

Vegans are nutcases, just another bunch of fringe weirdos who think their way is the right way when the rest of humanity has been doing things completely different from them for millions of years.

I suppose I respect that life choice and all, but I too think that many people who claim that being vegan is somehow superior seem to do a good job of ignoring biology and history.
Personal opinion.

no the vegan diet shows longer health.

You may want to inform the people of the Meditteranian and Japan who eat fish and other meat yet have the longest, on average, life span.

OH REPOST

you moron vegan and vegetarian is nowhere near the same.

Could have fooled me.
I wouldn't say they are the same, but to say they are nowhere near the same then have the audacity to call somebody a moron for it is rather idiotic in of itself.

More than a few have a blog! And, no, that is not the whole point about being a Buddhist monk - well perhaps in a more abstract sense, but not the way you seem to be looking at it.
